1. Zhengzhou Shengda University's Basketball Team Shines at the Student Division Basketball Competition of the 2026 15th Henan Provincial Games & the 33rd Henan University Basketball Tournament (Undergraduate Division A)
From May 16 to 22, 2026, the Student Division Basketball Competition of the 15th Henan Provincial Games & the 33rd Henan University Basketball Tournament (Undergraduate Divisions A and B), hosted by the Henan Provincial Department of Education and the Sports Bureau of Henan Province and organized by Huanghe Jiaotong University, concluded with great success.
As the highest-level basketball event for university students in Henan Province, the tournament drew more than 1,700 athletes from 128 universities across the province. Amid fierce competition, Zhengzhou Shengda University's basketball team demonstrated strong competitive form and excellent spirit. In the group stage, our players fought hard and defeated Luoyang Institute of Science and Technology 52:35 and Huanghe Science and Technology College 43:31. With two wins in two games, the team successfully advanced to the Round of 16. In the knockout round of 16, our team narrowly lost to Henan Agricultural University 51:57 and thus failed to advance further.
During the competition, leaders and colleagues of our university visited the venue in person to cheer on the players, greatly boosting the team's morale. Although the team was unable to go further this time, all players displayed unity, cooperation, tenacity and the courage to take on stronger opponents, fully demonstrating the uplifting spirit of Zhengzhou Shengda University students. At the same time, the tournament gave us a clearer view of the gap between our team and the top teams in areas such as handling crucial possessions and controlling details. Moving forward, Zhengzhou Shengda University's basketball team will carefully review and learn from this experience, carry forward the sporting spirit of relentless effort and never giving up, and strive for better results in future competitions to bring honor to the university.
2. Zhengzhou Shengda University's Sports Dance Team Achieves Excellent Results at the Student Division Sports Dance Competition of the 15th Henan Provincial Games
From May 22 to 23, the Sports Dance Competition (Student Division) of the 15th Henan Provincial Games & the 10th Henan Student Sports Dance Competition, hosted by the Department of Education of Henan Province and the Sports Bureau of Henan Province and organized by Henan Agricultural University, was grandly held at the Longzihu Campus of Henan Agricultural University. More than 1,250 athletes from 51 universities across the province took part in the event. Our university's sports dance team delivered an outstanding performance, winning 7 first places, 12 second places and 11 third places.
On May 22, the grand opening ceremony was held. Among those attending were Yang Guang, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director-General of the Department of Education of Henan Province; Shu Weifang, Level-II Inspector of the Department of Education of Henan Province; Zou Songtao, Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the Labor Union of Henan Agricultural University; Zhang Yunpeng, First-Class Counsel of the Competitive Sports Division of the Sports Bureau of Henan Province; and Wang Liqiang, Deputy Secretary-General of the University Sports Dance Branch of the China Student Sports Association and Chief Referee of the event. Athletes, coaches, referees, staff and volunteers from all over the province gathered together to witness this sporting event.
The organizing committee invited Professor Li Yuanhui, head of the Sports Dance program at Zhengzhou Shengda University, to serve as Deputy Chief Referee for the competition.
In the University Division B Showcase Dance event, the workThe Binding, coached by our teachers Chu Jun and Gao Yucong, stood out from 14 participating teams and claimed first place in its category. The students' superb technique, original choreography and seamless coordination drew repeated applause from the audience.
This edition of the university sports dance competition featured the largest number of participating teams and the highest level of performance in its history, with exceptionally fierce competition. Under the guidance of coaches Bai Mengjie, Liu Libo and Sun Hao, the members of our team fought hard, performed outstandingly and achieved one success after another.
Through this highest-level sports dance event in Henan Province, our students have made great progress in competition experience, competitive performance and inter-university exchange. With the strong care and support of the university's leadership, the Sports Dance program at Zhengzhou Shengda University will continue to grow and achieve even greater success!
3. Zhengzhou Shengda University's Fitness and Bodybuilding Team Achieves Outstanding Results at the Zhengzhou "Zilüxia Cup" Fitness and Bodybuilding Invitational
From June 20 to 21, 2026, the 2026 "Zilüxia Cup" Fitness and Bodybuilding Invitational, hosted by the Zhengzhou Bodybuilding Association, was successfully held at Xinwan Plaza in Jinshui District, Zhengzhou. Focusing on bodybuilding competition and exchange, the event provided a professional platform for bodybuilding enthusiasts from universities across the province to compete on the same stage and learn from one another, attracting a large number of teams to participate enthusiastically.
Our university's bodybuilding team sent its best athletes to the competition. With practical training as the core objective, they rose to the challenge and competed with composure, fully demonstrating solid professional skills and excellent competitive spirit on stage. After two days of fierce competition, the team delivered outstanding performances and claimed three championships and three second places, returning home with honors.
These remarkable results fully demonstrate the strong professional competence and positive team spirit of Zhengzhou Shengda University's bodybuilding team. They are also a powerful testament to the university's dedicated efforts in developing its social sports program and its emphasis on cultivating students' practical abilities and competitive performance.
Moving forward, the team will take this event as an opportunity to carefully review its competition experience, optimize its training program in a targeted manner and address weaknesses in training.
